US Department of Education
created a video (below) that details some of the challenges brought on by the
No Child Left behind
law and describes President Barack Obama’s proposal to reauthorize the
Elementary and Secondary Education Act
(ESEA) and solve them. The video is intended to offer a vision that could strengthen teaching, narrow achievement gaps, raises standards, and help guide schools in preparing all students for colleges and careers in a global economy.
We have the opportunity to share our thoughts with Deputy Assistant Secretary for the US Department of Education, Massier Ritsch, about the possible impact the video and the conversations around the proposed reauthorization legislation.
